Default Persistent Amazon ordering error... help!

So I just went to place an order with Amazon and as I am going through the shipping confirmation, etc. I get a message stating:

We're sorry!

An error occurred when we tried to process your request. Rest assured, we're working to resolve the problem as soon as possible. If you were trying to make a purchase, please check Your Account to confirm that the order was placed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Is this happening to anyone else?? Or has it ever happened to you?? I tried placing the order multiple times and the message popped up each time..
