Also, you are probably being unfair because you listed multiple countries and probably basically mean US vs the rest of the world. All good points.

Basically, some releases are better for international editions and others are not. I'm sure there are Blu-ray fans in other countries who feel the same. Certainly, I know there are those who like to import releases from the US (especially for Criterion releases) and for titles that are less likely to be released internationally soon.

So worldwide there can be some discrepancies between editions and releases from time to time.
