Blu-ray Forum - View Single Post - PS3 vs Panasonic DMP-BD30K

I'm going to take the plunge and buy my first blu ray player this weekend. From reading the forums it seems like most people would say to get the PS3 as my player. I'm dont need it for upconverting dvds as I have a toshiba HD and an oppo upconverting player already. I am just concerned if I use it to watch a lot of movies and my kids wind up using it to play a bunch of video games, is it going to wear out faster than the panasonic? Any thoughts?
