No. Chances are, the store that you bought it from wont accept it. You need to call sony - they'll repair it for free since its still under warranty. They even pay shipping.

Chances are, your disc drive stopped working. No big deal. Just call up sony (the number can be found in the back of basically any game's instrustion manual. You can also find it by pushing SELECT in the playstation store) and get it repaired. Mine only took about a week.

By the way. If its unrepairable (Like mine was - I dropped it. Long story) then they just send you a completely new console. The problem with that is the fact that you get a new Hard Drive. So yeah, Back up your stuff. Though, the chances of that happening are incredibly slim since its just the disc drive.
