Don't fool yourself, sometimes films should be protected from their creators.
Criterion's Scanners is not a total fiasco, but I prefer the contrast and colors from the german release by Subkultur. The fine details is a bit better on the Citerion release, but only by a by a hair's breadth.

Really, perhaps its time for a calibration on your display. That release could not look better.
