I've actually read on the CoD4 forums developer comments to this affect.
They have been VERY adamant about not adding rumble... I haven't heard for sure on Trophies; however, I would be willing to bet they will maintain the same 'no patch' stance.
I agree with you that it makes no sense given the game's successs; however, they were VERY clear that they had no intention of adding rumble and no trophies would not surprise me at all given how they handled that rumble thing.
