Looks good, always fun to do a room make-over for entertainment's sake!

My basement theater room is totally trashed right now, I don't know where to store all my stuff anymore. I need to build a seventh media shelf, but no where to put it - no space to even build and paint it! I have enough Blu-rays to completely fill it and then some.

Shop I go to in Taipei has two rows of shelves. The front row is on rails.

So two shelves in the back and one shelf in the front I can roll right or left. I’ve always wanted to do something like that in my house.

Decided to put some baseboard around the bottom of the living room. Right now just waiting and doing some prep. Cannot hammer drill in the apartment on the weekends.

Also going to put up some acoustic panels behind the speakers in the front.

They’re not very thick though, but I’ll space them out from the wall so hopefully that will help a little. They are 5 cm thick and I’ll space them out 5 cm; already cut some wooden dowels.

But with the new semester starting tomorrow, this is gonna be a week or two before everything is done. Also, after pulling off some raceways for wires, I got to putty and prime a bit and repaint.

The raceway that I had for my electrical outlet needed to be moved over because now all the plugs seem to be at an angle.

Painted the baseboard this morning. But I also gotta get some extra flashing to go around the bottom because the old stuff that was on the wooden floor has come up. I’ll buy that tomorrow morning.





Going with something thin, because our ceilings are not that high.





We’ll get rid of that accordion door going down the hallway. Just waiting for the kittens to grow up. Or I’m gonna replace it with a proper door if they still continue to act like jackasses.

What ChatGPT said it would look like with the Connecticut Blue and baseboards. I’ve always felt apartments in Taiwan are just not finished.

The biggest problem in the picture is there’s no wire management, which is something I have to deal with with concrete walls.

43” 12’ away.

Use the projector most of the time. It’s got a 106” screen.

TV cannot be bigger because I want to keep the center’s tweeter at the same height as the towers’. And I don’t want to rip out shelves above it.
