Somehow RIPD missed capturing the "magic" of MiB. The actors were at least as good as what MiB had, which got me thinkin' the reason it didn't capture it is because of the things it did to try and change up the formula.

I do like how the film had a tight runtime, which I suspect helped it have stronger 3D over more of the film than the 2-3 hour films of the second half of the Bronze Age.

Default I hit the Jackpot!!! ....and you can too!

A great day for finds at the nearby nostalgia shop, Retro Attic!

G-Force with lenticular slip. Still sealed!!!
Meet the Robinsons with lenticular slip. Still sealed!!!

And a few others I didn't have... Hotel Trans 2 and Lego Batman.

They just acquired a huge collection with prices between $6 and $125 (Sharkboy Lavagirl Spy Kids double feature).

Look them up on Facebook: Retro Attic (Akron. Ohio).
If you see something you are desperate for in their pictures you can pm me and I can see if they still have it. The post was today. We can work out cost etc if you'd like me to pick up anything for fellow collectors. 20250905_192237.jpg

Watched Scream VI - One ladder scene and one hallway scene with maybe (?) medium 3D. Rest was quite mild. Glad to have in my collection, but 2 out of 5.

I know it's crazy but at 125$, it's almost a steal. go back and get it or if you don't want it, someone here will gladly take it off your hand.

That's back to the past price. Should go for $500 nowadays considering out of stock, you're getting 2 movies, and Spy Kids Game Over is in top 5 best 3D (perhpas Top 1 even).

Just watched Treasure Of The Four Crowns, and the 3D was fantastic,
Lots of pop outs! Film was corny and an Indiana Jones wannabe, but fun all the same.

One of the most purely entertaining 3-D movies ever made, a crazy carnival ride.

I just ordered a copy of Start Trek Beyond 3D. Cannot believe I never bought this before, given what a huge science fiction fan I am.

I often have trouble remembering what I own and have seen (am I the only one with this problem?), so I had to check my online collection here, and then I checked physical media everywhere and do not seem to have a copy of this film. Watched the trailer and none of it looked familiar.

Loved this one, and thought the 3D was great. I use a database (MyMovies Pro) to scan in my 3DBRs, but still completely forget I’ve seen them after a few years.

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one. I mean, some people here seem to be able to recall every infinitesimal detail of a film, as I struggle to remember if I've even seen it, LOL. Oh well.

For tracking my movie collection, I use the blu-ray app that builds a collection here on this site. It has the bar code scanning function as well, and one can go to the page for a given movie here and add it to your collection with a few mouse clicks. I only started using it recently, but am very happy with it.

Oh, and also happy to hear that the movie is good. I have liked Star Trek since the first TV series was broadcast, although I never went full trekkie. Still, I am surprised that I overlooked this film.

first pickups in a while - Paranorman/Coraline 2 pk for $19.99, used. I already had Paranorman but had trying to hunt down Coraline for a while now. Also picked up Monster House, which I had also been on the lookout for, $5.99, unopened copy!
there were a couple other titles I had in hand but I was limiting myself for today.

Yeah, I see all the idiots on eBay asking around $200 and more (look at me! I can ask $200 and I know some idiot will pay that price), when a copy just sold on 9/12 for $75.
