There was a very funny trend going back in my high school days where the kids would buy a set of bass thumpers and build their own personal sound box which would then be stuck in the back of the trunk.

not dead buy dying for sure. I'm really surprised how many people i see driving down the road wearing headphones/ear buds. I had a decent setup in my dodge ram almost 15 years ago behind the seats and intended to get something for my suv when i upgraded cars but never did. LimpBizkit - Rollin'!!! I think i just had all the LB cds on loop/repeat lol
