I finished rewatching the whole show the other day, and binging it I noticed that there is a big contrast in tone between the first two and the last two seasons. 1&2 are excellent and enormously fun. Season 3 was still very good but had a couple of weaker episodes and was missing some of the wit. Season 4 was a bit of a mess, too sappy, weird character changes, and even with Nick Offerman in the cast had boring villains. I don't agree though that it ruined the show. It did resolve most of the open questions, so I don't regret watching it.
I will miss this crazy show and its characters. There isn't really anything else like it. |
