Heavy Object is from the same creator as Raildex, so lots of long explanations and such. Unlike Raildex, the light novels did end back in 2021.

It's also one of the many titles that didn't transfer to Crunchyroll after the FUNimtion website shut down last April.

I also wasn't aware of Heavy Object. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I just watched the OP and it looks pretty good! I miss the days when simple fan service was common like in the OP. I'll probably watch it after I rewatch all of Demon Slayer in preparation for the upcoming theater release of the new movie in a few weeks.

There are numerous shots and camera angles that take advantage of her figure. In fact, any female character gets the camera highlights of their bodies. Suffice it to say, if you want to watch some well written action with beautifully shot girls here and there you can't go wrong with this very well animated series. It may not be a straight up ecchi series, but there is some great scenes and you get an excellent story to boot.
Cool! I picked up the two Heavy Object Blu-rays from BWBODDY a few years ago, and haven't actually had a chance to watch them yet. I'll have to pull them off the shelf and view them after I finish High School of the Dead. The series looked fairly interesting to me, so now I'm glad I picked them up! Thanks, BW!

btw, Frolaytia sounds like a great character name, can't wait to meet her - even though I'm more a tiny-tiddie type of guy, lol.

Oh, then you’ll love the main female character 😉

There are still quite a few shows out there like that. The upcoming Kamen Rider anime for example has some stacked girls in it. but the level of detail or care they put into the fanservice just isn't the same anymore.

Someone noticed weird differences between the German & JPN Blu-rays of Date a Live V

https://slow.pics/c/DFJLl8FU
Is the US Blu-ray affected as well?

Western Blu-rays using broadcast/streaming or theatrical masters happens every now and then. The German BD encode looks terrible.

Browsing through the episode, the US BD uses the same master as the German and Japanese BDs and not the broadcast version. But I'm not sharp-eyed enough to spot the difference between the German and Japanese versions without help.

I've seen some ecchi shows, and OVAs, and enjoyed them, but have also hated a number of them too many I ended up dropping. I also literally don't care for hentai of any kind I mean not every anime fan watches that stuff. There's a lot that don't anyways here's just a list of titles that I enjoyed, or hated from the ecchi genre.

Enjoyed
Golden Boy I love this anime OVA series so I'm looking forward to picking up the Blu-Ray next year.
Killing Bites gory and sexy
DNA2
All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
The Melody of Oblivion
Project A-ko 1-3 Do these OVAs count?
Blood Lad
Desert Punk
Butt Punisher Attack Gautaman R this is a very goofy little ecchi anime OVA that I had a fun time with its dumb but ridiculous
Punch Line this is a weird absolutely insane, and incredibly hilarious ecchi anime show
Needless
Dirty Pair OVAs and show all of it
Midori Days weird anime show

Hated
Eiken ughhhh this is just so unfunny, and just not enjoyable at all
Abunai Sisters terrible absolutely terrible show not funny oh and the animation is just awful
Green Green
Cosplay Complex
Akikan! Terrible and just why oh Why does this exist?
The Master of Raganrok terrible boring, and just plain gross like not only are the
girls his daughters, but also his sisters ewwww Yuck so he's the father, and the brother
My First Girlfriend is a Gal
Kennel Tokorozawa this was I guess something I completely forgot about it but I guess the Dog yes an actual dog not a humanoid dog, but a plain old dog wants to see the main characters butt a lot, and it isn't funny whatsoever

It's a decent series, kinda boring with mediocre animation. There's one really good ecchi scene, but not worth a re-watch for me. Since you've never seen it, it's worth a watch, but be warned, drink some coffee to ward off the boredom

I like a number of ecchi anime, but I absolutely hated the subject matter incest anime is something I despise watching with a passion. It was absolutely terrible very boring not decent whatsoever. The whole fact that the girls call the main character their father, and brother is just yucky, and just plain gross. So icky also I almost fell asleep watching this still at least it wasn't as horrible as Big Wars something I actually did fall asleep watching as it was just so dang boring.

You're not alone. I've actually stopped watching some anime because some series want to "push the envelope" and are just, as you say, "plain gross" (I might be thinking of "Love Flops" - I know I turned that off for some reason).
