Elton John - Captain Fantastic... - SDE exclusive Blu-ray Atmos/5.1 - 10.24.2025

Elton John's 1975 studio album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy sees an SDE-exclusive Blu-ray release with "new Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes" by Greg Penny. The release also features 17 bonus tracks in stereo and the original 1975 mix in 24/96 stereo.

Interesting that it states the 5.1 mix is also new, as Greg Penny did the 5.1 mix on the 2004 SACD. If indeed it's a new mix, odd they didn't include the 2004 5.1 mix for comparison purposes given the ridiculous wealth of material Paul's managed to include on titles like Hergest Ridge.
