Random question...does escape from LA have anything to do with escape from New York (no time to look it up right now)?
As your immediate replier stated, yes it is the sequel. It was okay, but it holds significance, because that film was from an era in which soundtracks were selling more than the films. A little while before Rob Zombie broke out on his own and started the whole "I'm a singer, songwriter, artist, comic book artist, director, cooking show host" thing he had a great band called White Zombie and their song ONE off the Escape from L.A. soundtrack was the primary pull for that album. Another movie in this category would be Judgement Night. It was an okay movie, but the soundtrack sold buh-gillions of copies. For me, that whole thing started with The Crow, but I think that movie did well enough on its own at the time. |
