Default Please help, Samsung 4661F issues

I have a Samsung 4661F that is about 18 months old. I am having issues with the screen going completely green and or dropping the signal while using my PS3 or any other HDMI device. Sometimes the TV will turn off completely. The picture is great and there aren't any halos, ghost, etc. but I would like to be able to use anything with an HDMI and not have the green or blank screen.

I have an extended warranty and have had the TV looked at twice and no error codes have been thrown so the repair facility won't do anything until they see what is going on with the TV. They said that they would have to contact Samsung to see if there is a constant problem with this particular model. In my own efforts I have also contacted Samsung about an issue with their mainboards having to be replaced in this particular model and they claim that I must be the only person to own this set to have this particular problem. I know for a fact that I have read about other owners having a bad motherboard on their tv and Sumsung had to replace it.

How do I check the board to see if it is bad or came from a bad batch?

What can I do to get some help and get my tv repaired?

What magical words do I have to tell Samsung in order to get them to tell the repair company that I have a problem with my television?

Is there a firmware update that can be done so that my television will stop dropping the signal?

Any suggestions other than buying a new tv would be greatly appreciated.
