Amazon doesn't have a notification page for any other season. If it was just a placeholder, amazon would have had one for season one as well like they do for all their blu-ray tv placeholders ... but curiously only for season eight.

I heard a rumor that they were going to put this on blu-ray after the series finished ...

This is an Amazon placeholder, doesnt mean anything at all, Theres even one for Star Wars.........Take it for what it means, Absolutely nothing!. Oh yea, dont forget to sign up if you are interested
