After last months 'The Mechanic' Euro Video is bringing us another Charles Bronson classic 'Mr Majestyk' on the 16th June.

Arrived today, looks great. PQ on par with EV's realease of The Mechanic. Very happy with it.

they are MGM releases so quite possible at some point.
btw: are these locked bds?

Got no idea about the region coding sorry, Though the cover is labelled as region B only, Take that for what it's worth.

I actually can play locked titles so no big issue for me regardless.

Finally got around to watching it all the way through last night, Kudos to Euro-Video for producing another great disc. PQ is slightly better on this than their The Mechanic disc, Which in itself is a great endorsement. Great Movie, Great disc.

More Bronson please...

I wanted to read the customer review on amazon.de but I don't speak German. This is what babelfish translation gave me:

"The clay/tone quality (stereophonic sound) the Blu Ray is quite acceptable and good for a film of older date. More than average image quality unfortunately less. In darker passages it grieselt always merrily before itself. Here euro video would probably have had to carry more fine work and for the pictorial material out a general overhaul to spendieren be supposed."

Not a very helpful translation....

I love this film but am still undecided as to whether I should order this version.

Edit: Ordered it. Am also tempted by The Mechanic...

Yay! Arrived this morning, looking forward to viewing tonight. One of the things that made me hesitate to order, was that I had assumed that it was just using the old dvd's lossy 2.0 s'track. But the back of the case states DTS HD master audio 2.0. Result.

Will share thoughts on PQ.

Edit: I see that amazon.de actually list HD sound...I didn't notice.

PQ...3/5. All low light scenes suffer from huge amounts of video noise. Bright scenes do not suffer as such but do look incredibly smeary (but admittedly better than the dvd version). Sound seems identical to previous dvd versions, despite the lossless amplifier icon lighting up. It's clearly no Scanners but it sure ain't particularly good. I don't regret buying it as it's still a cool ass flick, and weighing up the nature of the bd, it is better than the dvd. Hard to recommend as an upgrade...
