Thumbs down Malware on my computer

Already tried using Spysweeper and Antivir and ad-aware, no joy. Anything else I can try before I send my computer in for service?

You might try counterspy, you can get a full functioning copy free for a couple of weeks, I,ve been using this for a couple of years and never
had any critters.

It found a few things but there's still stuff taking up a bunch of room on my HD.
Hey can someone else help me find out what kind of SATA drive I'd need for my Compaq Presario V6000?

Have you done a drive cleanup yet? Temp files? Tried CrapCleaner?
http://www.ccleaner.com/

You need to get something that has a disk space explorer.
It will show you what is where.
I use TuneUp Utilities:

Yes but I have like 20 programs on my HD, would be a pain in the rear to re-download and re-install all of them. The TuneUp seems to be doing the trick anyways...

Question

The odd thing right now is the more the Tune Up defrags, the less room there seems to be on my HD, not sure why that is.

External hard drives come in handy for problems like this.

I have 2 but a bunch of stuff has to be saved internally, like IM programs. Bleh if it comes to that, I WILL format the drive(provided that doesn't kill Windows) and just re-install everything.

Use the Disk Space Explorer to see what is on the drive.
Look for temps or possibly downloaded files that may be taking up space.

Have you gone into your Control Panel and checked out all your installed programs? You can free up lots of disk space by eliminating programs that aren't being used. You may also find things in there that were installed by mistake or without your knowledge.
