I wanted to get this movie and now that I see there's a digibook coming, maybe I get it.
I would buy the 3rd, but I wish this theatrical poster wasn't mirrored.

If anyone gets it can he post please any BDInfo and screenshots to compare with other releases?

Do you think that the original US release had a gamma issue and it could be corrected here?
Unless, it was like this originally.
But it looked a bit weird when I saw it.

They corrected the brightness/Gamma Issues of the US Disc.

So the Picture is really better on the german/austrian one.
BUT...and thats a big BUT....english Sound is only 2.0 Mono and not 2.0 Surround!

So, mono instead of stereo?? Are you sure?
Why on earth they would do that?
I see at imdb the original audio is stereo.
Was there a mono to begin with?

The English subtitles are for the whole movie or just foreign speaking parts?

Also, i don't understand why these mediabook releases are so expensive.
Don't they ever drop in price?!

Its what they delivered.

So now you have a good picture but weak sound on the new blu ray.
For me its not a problem because i watch the Movie always with the German dub.
And the German Dub is a good 2.0 Surround Track.

i wonder if the mono option is an error. Maybe I should contact the company.

Since the codec is lossless 2.0 but cointains only mono I would say that's a big big error in the encoding process and you should try asking them if they are aware.

Bollocks. Unless you happen to think that MGM are incapable of making mistakes, which would surely make them the most amazing distributor ever. It also makes me wonder... if MGM had supplied an hour long version cropped to 4:3 and desaturated to B&W would they have accepted that, too? Still, as long as it's an overpriced Mediabook all's well, eh? Clowns.

I can't still believe such an error will go uncorrected! And especially with a such expensive release as this is!
