Why is it the Uk now has lost, seasons 1,2,4 on Blu Ray, but not 3, or no mention of season 5 going to be a blu ray release? Is this unfair or what?

Still pissed off the Uk's not getting Dexter on Blu Ray.

I'm sure they will release it in good time. I'm going to wait till all seasons are done cause they will probably release a big season 1-6 boxset at the end of it all.

I couldn't buy a set from another country, knowing that it will look different or be different in some way to the other sets I already own, it ruins the look of the collection.

Deffinately looking forward to Season 3 and 5 being released in the UK.

I am pretty sure Season 5 will get a Blu-ray release in the UK along with the DVD (probably third week in October like the last two years). I really hope they release Season 3 soon. I sometimes wonder if Disney even realise they forgot the release Season 3 in Region B, the way they keep boasting "all 4 seasons of Lost now on Blu-ray!!!"

And they advised that the Blu Ray of Season 3 is being released on the 4th of November and Season 5 is the 21st of October (before the States?!?!?!)

I want to get excited, but confirmation would be good, I will buy these on release day, whatever the price may be.

i think season 3 or 4 was released here before the states as well.

It's out October 26th, and yes, before the US. Season 3 and 4 were released before the US in October so Season 5 following that trend is no surprise.

Why are they so many discs? Could they not have fitted more episodes on to less discs given Blu-Ray's storage capacity?

That's what I was thinking. Season 3 had 5 eps a disc in the US but when it comes out here we will have 4 per disc it seems. Season 5 actually has less discs than any other season so far (5 discs) despite Season 4 being shorter. I think it all comes down to pricing. Less discs means they can't charge the same price as previous releases or people will think they're being ripped off. Even though the DVD version of Season 5 is £5 more than Season 4 on release day, with one less disc in the set...
