Default 50th Anniversary Editions 1968

1968 was 50 years ago.
That was the year my parents finally let me go to the movies by myself.
Sometimes they would go up to the box-office and buy the ticket for me.
Some movies I would have to wait a few years to see.

I'm disappointed that

Bullitt
The Party
Planet of the Apes
Romeo & Juliet
Rosemary's Baby

did not get 4K restorations and 50th Anniversary editions. Considering the importance of these films, and their immense popularity and influence, it really is an injustice to the art of cinema that the studios paid no attention to the occasion.

2001: A Space Odyssey came late in the year and was problematic, apparently. WB could have done better. The cover art, although not that important, is the kind that discourages sales.

Rosemary’s Baby got a new 2K restoration and quite a bit of new extras under the Criterion Collection.

Planet of the Apes already has a feature packed Blu-ray.

Criterion's 2012 release of Rosemary's Baby was sourced from a new 4K scan of the OCN. And that Criterion has a good amount of extras, including a then-new 50 minute documentary retrospective.

UHD of course may improve things, but we have no idea if or when Criterion will start releasing those.

Criterion did a great job on Night of the Living Dead.
That 50th Anniversary Edition is everything it should be ... except the cardboard covers are too thin and a little flimsy.

Hell in the Pacific deserves a better release than what Kino gave it.

What are some other 50th Anniversary editions that came out this year or last?

And how did this get moved to wish lists?

We're talking about blu-rays in print.
