most us players are set to 110v 50hz. Some do 100-240v switching internaly. If it adapts to the voltage automaticaly all you need is the indian power plug adaptor which can be bought from bestbuy or radioshack. if t does not adjust the voltage then you need a power adaptor as well.

it will play ntsc region 1 dvds and ntsc region a blu-rays which do not include the movie you may purchase over then in India. Some players can be modified to play them all but that would void the warranty and in official its illegal to do so. Most will output NTSC if you are using hdmi and upscaling to 1080p then send it to your tv, most hdtvs should be able to work with that signal no matter ntsc or pal movie playing in the player but the player should pal enabled.

Which player(s) are you considering? That may help narrow down the "yes/no" versus "it depends" answers.
