Blue Ray Drives? - Blu-ray Forum

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and here is my first question:

Is there any Blue Ray Drives out yet for my puter?

There are no drives available for computers yet (there are at least 2 recordable models available in Japan - that will be inoperative with the "offical" release of Blu Ray discs and don't work as computer drives). Many months ago some companies were hopeful to have them by Dec. The only one that has recently made an announcement is Panasonic. They are to deliver drives to HP and Dell (I think were the companies) sometime in Jan for Desktops and a few months later for Laptops. However seeing is believing. I'm sure by this time next year you will be able to go to your local computer store and purchase any number of brands that will be on the shelf.
