Default Microsoft now receiving 2,500 broken 360s per day in UK alone?

Microsoft now receiving 2,500 broken 360s per day in UK alone?

I wouldn't be surprised, I had a hell of a time getting through to them on the phone last November.

A TALE OF 11 BROKEN XBOX 360S

The only thing crazier than the fact that one person can have so many failed 360's is that the chump is still supporting the machine having had such a bad hardware experience.

What I find so hilarious if you read the comments, there are people who have had to ship back units multiple times, with their replaced units also failing. What was their response to this? They bought another xbox 360!! How bloody clueless can you be?

Because they want a working game system?

Long story short, Microsoft cheaped out and shipped a product without adaquate cooling, which is causing solder points to break on the CPU after about a year of active use.

That's not counting the systems that were bricked by modders, and morons who don't read instructions like "insure system and power brick are ventilated and not on carpets"

Thats like buying the same crappy car over and over because "you need something to drive".

I don't see the point in throwing good money after bad. Getting a system repaired is one thing, but buying another after you had to have the original repaired multiple times just doesn't make sense.

Read this..

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/200..._failures.html

And then read the comments in there...search for a poster called xboxfounder to shed some light on AVS and the gaming sites as well...

Here is a company that has started a business fixing them it's so bad.. http://xbox360repair.tk/

You know how I found out about that link for the repair shop? From a co-worker... we were talking yesterday about my PSP and conversation turned to consoles..tells me 4 out 5 of his friends 360's have died...2 of them twice. That's 6 out of 7 folks. One of them just bought his a couple of weeks ago..died literally within the week. Nothing appears to have been fixed as some keep insisting.

Personal observation with people I know and the multiple failures at places like Kotaku, EGM, indicates a potentially large failure rate perhaps even a massive one - it's a design flaw after all - so it wouldn't be all that surprising if most of them fail way before their time.

Look all they have to do is come out with a specific number telling people what the exact failure rate is and clear it all up .. the rub is they have have to be absolutely accurate .. or they have a big problem with the SEC.

See that interview above with Todd. Can you say AVOIDANCE? Rock and a hard place? Give the real number and he is possibly sued by MS for breach of his contract and potentially causing enormous damage to their business .. give the wrong number to put a favorable spin on it and the SEC is potentially putting him in jail for misleading shareholders and investors under Sarbanes/Oxley Act...say nothing and your safest of all IF there is a massive problem with 360 consoles. IF there isn't then why not just put it on the record - since you have nothing to lose and everything to gain if it's a low number?

Their whole gaming business investment is at risk if this is true .. their whole gaming business investment is at risk if this is true .. and the console is hit with a recall decree...and it's looking more and more like it will end up there. The evidence and complaints are just piling up.

This is not Sony fanboys making stuff up..no viral campaign happening here. ..the hardware is a disaster.

Wow man,

xboxfounder is the 'deepthroat' of the gaming industry.

Xboxfounder:
"So I want everyone who reads these posts to know that some of the “fan boys” are xbox team members who are charged with monitoring and re-directing the talk on these sites."
Remember Amir? Well in Amir's case it is not X-box but it is HD-DVD.

It seems 'Forza motorsport 2' also causes problems on the X-box 360:

Splinter Cell Double Agent was the biggest 360 crasher for me, mostly on the icy tanker level (kept happening at the part where you punch holes through the ice) but I had some freezes on other levels too.

He's no deep throat. He just looked and analyzed

We're saying basically the same things: Microsoft cheaped out and didn't provide sufficient cooling, and now they're going to have to pay for it

2500 a DAY?

That's half a million annual rate. How many have they sold in UK? OR what is their sell-rate in UK?

Amazing stat, this. Sounds a tad overblown, imo

Staggering reading, but thoroughly enjoyable, to me.
