Generation Kill - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone seen Generation Kill on BR? The reviews are great and I love war movies but I don't want to be disappointed after spending $65. Is it similar to Band of Brothers?

I enjoyed it but nowhere near as much as Band Of Brothers. But in full disclosure BOB is the best mini series I have ever seen.

I liked it more than Band of Brothers. Better characters, better dialogue...a fantastic mini-series about the current war situation.

It is more character driven with less battle action , you should rent it first before deciding to buy.

Agreed.....I think I would like a bit more action in my movies. Some of the previous posts were a great help!! Thanks!

I'm watching it right now. Great, better than Band of Brothers IMHO. I snagged it for 32 new off ebay, so I would definitely try to get it on there or when it's on sale. In a completely unrelated note, does anyone know the budget for the entire mini series of Generation Kill, my friend and I were wondering about that. Thanks.

I haven't seen the blu but the mini series it self was really well done.

Not sure if I could watch it over and over... BUT if the pq/aq are as good as it seems... then I might.

When it drops in price I will consider it.

I enjoyed it and thought it was worth the money how ever i do agree with some of the other posts where band of brothers is much better.

I went in thinking it would be crazy action but the acting and stories were so good I kinda forgot about that expectation.
