Default Any 80's films on BD with good PQ?

I've watched Dirty Dancing, Terminator, and even Enter the Dragon, and I must say, the picture quality was pretty crap. I'm about to give up on blu-ray movies from the 80's (or even earlier) unless someone can tell me of one that actually does look good. Any out there???

I watched some of the new Paramount movies: Trading Spaces, Coming to America, and The Untouchables. I thought that all of these movies looked great but the sound for all three of these movies was just average (at best).

The Untouchables looks fantastic. The sound is alright, the DTS 6.1 track is much better than the Dolby. You can hear major differences between the 2.

I thought Superman 2, the Donner Cut, looked outstanding. Even the unfinished scenes.

Black Rain looks good... I'm betting Blade Runner will look and sound awesome since Ridley Scott is doing some retakes on a few of the scenes...

Halloween when it comes out should look incredible. I remember getting the DVD and thinking that it looked like they made it today. That movie was in 1978 though.

I think during the 80's they used a different kind of film stock. A Christmas Story doesnt have that HiDef look but the transfer is 1,000 times better than the original DVD release.

Top Gun is coming out this year. Not sure if it will be a good upgrade from the dvd version.

Every 80s movie I've watched may not look perfect because obviously it's an older movie, but they all looked better than my DVD versions. So I can live with that.
