Default Your Top "5" Movies From (2008)

So what are your top five films of 08? Please give a lil insight next to the film as to why u chose it. My list goes a lil sumthin like this:

1. Changeling - This is by far Jolie's best performance and film!

2. Iron Man - This may be the best comic book film of all time outside of the Superman films starring C. Reeves.

3. The Incredible Hulk - This one isnt to far behind Iron Man actually. This may be in the top 5 of all comic book films.

4. Seven Pounds - Anotha great performance from Smith and the story was original and brilliant.

5. Miracle at St. Anna - This is one of the best war films that I have ever seen. Great dialogue and a fabulous ending which was very heartfelt.

Got Em!!

1. Tell No One - best modern thriller I've ever seen (topped only by Hitchcock)

2. The Fall - among the best visionary films ever; great human element.

3. Doubt - really prods the conscience of the viewer, asks hard questions, yet doesn't dictate answers.

4. Let The Right One In - most realistic vampire film ever.

5. Gran Torino - awesome character development.

1. The Dark Knight - One of favourite movies everrr, this is head and shoulders above anything else that came out in 2008 for me. I had never been so excited to see a movie in my whole life, and I was not disappointed at all. Can't wait for the third one from the maestro that is Chris Nolan.

2. Cloverfield - Certainly a movie you either loved or hated it seems, and I can say I 110% loved it. Great fun, a different way of telling the story and it added to the quality of the movie. Could watch this anyday.

3. Iron Man - Excellent take on the popular comic book character, I was pleasantly surprised at Jon Favreau's first real directorial major motion picture. IMO they couldn't have found a better person than RDJ'r to play Tony Stark.

4. The Wrestler - Splendid movie, Mickey Rourke is at his absolute best and the story is so touching and inspiring.

5. Kung Fu Panda - Another superb animation movie from Dreamworks, look forward to the second.

4. Pineapple Express - another huge surprise, funniest movie of the year imo
5. Let the Right One In - amazing, beautifully made, brutal movie.

My list would be...
  1. Quantum of Solace - I know it was not as well recieved as Casino Royale, but Danel Craig is just a superb actor and he truly does show a genuine human side of Bond. And of course Olga's in it, so there's another reason to put it at the No. 1 spot.
  2. Wall-E - This is a really touching film with amazing visuals and is possibly Pixar's most serious movie to date. How can you not love a robot with a funny voice, just look at R2-D2; alright he didn't have a voice but was still funny, and strangely enough, both were voiced by sound designer Ben Burtt.
  3. Slumdog Millionaire - The most moving film I have ever see and I just really wish it had gotten more publicity at the time it came out in cinemas. It's extremley well structured and edited. Love it.
  4. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I know this is a very controversial choice, but I loved it and Harrison Ford doesn't look too old at all. I'll admit some elements are a bit stupid, but it is just great to see Indy back and I do hope GL and SS will do Indy 5.
  5. Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Sorry to add this but I've yet to see The Dark Knight, otherwise that would likely be here, but as it is. This was a good, solid, fun Star Wars animation, a bit iffy at times, but still good; the TV show is much better though.

Again, sorry for not adding The Dark Knight.

Body of lies

I must say I have not seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Although I love David Fincher I just haven't got around to it. If I had: it would probably take the place of Body of lies. Even though after multiple viewings I think Body of lies is under rated. I'll have to check out Taken as well.

I think the idea of Harrison being too old ignores the fact that a character like Indy would not stop searching for artifacts till the day he died. I think they should of played a little more with the idea that he's so old he can't do the things he use to, but still manages to get out of scrapes. They barely touched on it.

1] THE DARK KNIGHT-- this delivered everything it was hyped up to be

2] LET THE RIGHT ONE IN-- best vampire film in over 20 years

3] GRAN TORINO-- how does Eastwood do it? another solid winner

4] CLOVERFIELD-- loved this! easily the best of the "you are there" POV
type of movie

5] QUANTUM OF SOLACE-- not the best Bond out there but still very good,
and it gets better with every viewing
