United Kingdom 2 for £25 offer in store at Tesco

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I've just got back from my local Tesco store and noticed they had a 2 for £25 offer on selected chart Blu-Rays. I didn't stop to have a good look at all the titles but they had things like "Sherlock Holmes", "Wolfman", "2012" and "Invictus" among others. I also noticed they had a 2 for £18 offer going on also as well as a good few for £10.

Yeah, my Tesco has exactly the same thing going on as yours. I'm so happy at the sheer amount of titles my Tesco has at the great prices that they have them at. Other stores should take note

Well I was quite surprised to be honest, Tesco have usually been quite pricey when it comes to chart Blu-Rays so I thought it was quite a good in-store promotion.

Bookmark this page as we usually update with bargains or offers on the forum.

There has been some debate in the similar thread about the exclusion of Avatar and Alice In Wonderland.

Funny how those films have suddenly dropped in sales as they start this promotion isnt it?

Really? My Tesco rarely has new releases that even peak the £20 mark. The most expensive one I have seen in there is £18.99

Hmm I guess there must be some degree of difference within stores. I would consider £18.99 quite pricey for an in-store chart Blu, which is why I usually buy online. I remember when Avatar was released it was like £21.99 but I guess that could be an exception with such a popular release.

Well the only £18.99 Releases I have seen are Up, Alice in Wonderland and Avatar. Its well know that Disney and Fox can be quite pricey on new releases so I suppose thats why.
But the majority of titles that are under £12 well outweighs some of the pricier ones. My Tesco even has a few BD's for £5

Looks like it is just tescos Top 10 and they have bumped Alice and Avatar out of it for the promotion. Nothing else i'm intrested in in the deal, shame I was very excited after seeing the title.

I know, they are very conveniently 11 and 12 or something like that. Whatever Tesco!

I've never understood how supermarkets decide at what number place to put a film or TV programme. Is it based on pre-oders or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if they made it up to be perfectly honest. I think they may have some reflection on release date if anything.

I will have to go to my local Tesco and check them out. £25 for two blu's is a bargain.

Went to my local Tesco, which is a big one where all the blu rays are kept upstairs, they didn't have the 2 for £25 deal and the new releases were really expensive. They did have a 2 for £18 and I got traitor and Dr parnassus. Only older titles in the deal. Anyone know if its only selected stores are doing this offer?
