Recently purchased Bruce Almighty & Tears of the Sun - Blu-ray Forum

I live in australia so Blu Rays are not everywhere yet and the players are alot of money so i thought i would start building up my Blu Rays without a player yet so when i get a player i will have movies for it. Anyway i just bought Bruce Almighty & Tears of the Sun and i am just wandering how good is the Picture quality and sound quality. so realy overall how good are they?

In the U.S. Bruce is a Uni. title so unsure about that but Tears of the Sun is pretty good.

It is available in the UK too if I remember correctly.

In the States Univeral titles are Universal STUDIOS and in region 2 or region B they are under either Universal PICTURES or Beuna Vista(some titles I think) which is why in region 2/B they are available in Blu. Until they go neutral here, don't hold your breath, if you want a title like Bruce Almighty you unfortunatley you will have to pay out the ass to import them.

I just picked up Tears of the Sun yesterday, and I'm very impressed with the picture quality. It's definitely one of the better ones.

oh and i got Bruce Almighty for $23 aussie dollars so i think thats around
$19 us dollars

It is ABC (meaning you can play in all regions)

Somebody posted an image of the disc and it did feature the ABC symbol.

Click on the "UK Releases" link here:

It lists which UK discs play in US players. Bruce Almighty is one of them.
