Default Need help picking new TV

I currently have a 55" rear projection Sony which seems to do an OK job but I am really wanting to upgrade and try and get as much improved picture quality as I can with a new TV. I want at least a 55inch and could go up to a 60inch. I am not hanging it on the wall so thickness is not an issue. It will go in a darkened HT room so glare is not an issue either. My primary interest is getting the absolute best Blu-ray movie and HDTV sports picture quality I can for $2500 or less. That means most accurate colors, black levels, clarity, and motion smoothness. Plasma, LCD, LED, Panasonic, Samsung,.... I'm confused. I guess the 3 main considerations right now are the Samsung 58inch 650 series, the 55 inch LED Samsungs, and the Panasonic V10 58inch. Any suggestions?

The Panasonic V10 will be the best fit for what you're looking for. The Samsung 650 is also very high rated but the panny does a little better so i'd go that route. The LCD's/LED's will be nice with the motion enhancers activated but you won't get as good of color produtuction, contrast, viewing angles, etc. so for what you're looking for the Panny V10 is best fit.

58" V10 is the best set in that size range (for the price) available today. I've got my sights on one, also.

I'd say THIS Panasonic or THIS Samsung are the best sets in this size and price range for the money since I doubt that you will find a Pioneer KRP-600M. Of course if you can find a KRM-600M its the best of the three.

It looks like the Panasonic might be difficult to get. Best Buy is out and Crutchfield does not list them. Hmmmm. Pretty sure that is what I want....the Panasonic V10 58inch. I will look around. Thanks for the suggestions.
