Thumbs down Is anybody else sick of exclusive trailers?

I hate how trailers are exclusive to a particular event (comic con) or screening (IMAX).
I get why they're doing it but they should release them online as well after a week or so. I would love to watch the comic con trailer of Man of Steel and the new Skyfall trailer in HD in my Home Theatre setup
The TDKR trailer was exclusive to the premiere of Ghost Protocol but it was released online as well. That's how it should be.

A) wouldn't you feel cheated if you paid money to go to comic-con, got a hotel room and flight to San Diego to see this footage, just for it to be online in prestine quality a week later.

B) The prologue scene was in front of Ghost Protocol, the trailer was released in front of Sherlock Holmes 2 and almost all trailers that debut in front of film are online by the next week if not before it's even in theatres.

Remember when all the Final Destination 4 deaths were spoiled in the Comic-Con trailer and spoilers were posted online? Those were the days.

I want to say the remake of Friday the 13th had a trailer that was like that as well. It started playing about two weeks before the movie came out.

Is that the one where it counted up to 13 and showed a one second clip of each death?

And as for FD4, I remember all the deaths were spoiled in the TV spots. Even the ambulance one I think the only death not in the TV spots was the lamest one, the bath tub.

I think so. It have been a while since I have seen it. All I can remember is seeing Jason run up and try to cut someones head off next to a tree. Now I am starting to think they did the same thing for A Nightmare on Elm Street.

I remember seeing the FD4 preview now that I have seen that one again. Kind of silly if you ask me. They saved me $10 from seeing it in theaters just from that FD4 trailer.

The first two movie were good but after that it kind of got old for me. I still will watch the movies but will wait till redbox. Same goes for the SAW movies. I wont get into that tonight.

Comic Con is not just about the trailers nor was it originally ever just about the advanced-super-secretive-sneak-peaks. It was originally, as it is today, about comics. A majority of people don't just spend their money on Comic Con soley for the "secretive" footage studios will be showing, but for the other items offered at the venue and the extravaganza that is itself Comic Con.

If people did actually get pissed because the studios released the CC footage immediately after the viewing at Comic Con, they probably need to get over themselves.

No, I bet a majority of people would say, "Hey, I was there LIVE and watched the whole thing unfold for the first time, with the director and actors present, and it was still worth every cent."

But they cue for hours and hours, if they straight up release footage, the turnout for their presentations wouldn't be so great. It's a treat to the guests who go out of their way to go to comic con and want to watch the footage.

The comic-con crowd has to be the most irrational people out there, stand in a long ass line just to be advertised to? The best part is that in a few months the studios will be paying millions to get their footage out there. And it's not like it's that hard to find the footage online anyways.

I don't understand why in the world someone would pay to stand in line just for a peice of advertisement. If you love film then use your money to go to TIFF and watch some real movies.

The TDKR exclusive with MI4 was the prologue of the plane highjacking. As far as I know that was not officially released and the only available versions at the time were bootleg cams
