Universal owns the distribution rights to the film. So it is a DUD (this just adds to the finacial failure of the film overall).

It's a good movie. Thomas Newman's score is fantastic. Anthony Hopkins rules. The movie looks like crap on DVD. And it's actually called HD-DVD, not DUD.

I did enjoy the movie. It is very romantic and excellent in its scope. I mean that the movie has to be grandios inorder to fully understand the relationship of death and the people it affects. It is a great movie to watch with your sweetheart (I do). It is not sad even though the main protagonist dies. The movie was a financial bomb though, it is hard to argue against that. I am sure that the lavish sets, and excellent score would do well in a next-gen format, I just wish it could do well on blu, and not Hdud .

I know alot of people actually dislike this movie.

I hadn't a clue what it was about when I happened to stumbled upon it one night whilst flicking through channels on TV and ended up glued to it once I had seen the
[Show spoiler]car accident scene
, I hadn't seen before that part so I am probably missing something.

If anybody knows anything about a release, that would be great!

Anyway, I would deffinately buy this on Blu-Ray.

Count me in as another who would be glad to own this on Blu.

I have no information on a Blu-ray release though. Is the HD-DUD transfer any good? If so, maybe it'll get a 2009 port to Blu
