Hi - I am a newbie to the forum looking for advice regarding my new Sharp blue ray player. I purchased this two days ago, and just got it together and popped a blue ray disc in. At first, everything appears to be just fine, but after watching for a few minutes, I couldn't help but notice something odd. When I got closer to the screen, I can clearly see what I can only describe as "waves" of very slight distortion that appear on the screen in a rythmic fashion (about two of these "waves" will appear each second). This distortion affects the entire viewing area.
I did notice that this distortion is not present at all on standard def disks. I am just wondering if this is a problem with this particular model, and if it is something that can be fixed with a firmware update - or if I am better off returning this unit while I still have the chance and getting a replacement. Thanks in advance. |
