Next up: what do u feel is the best haunted house type of film. I didnt include the silly comedic films like Haunted Honeymoon or Haunted Mansion. Also only only domestic or the most part. So choose form the list. Also give opinions of your fav film and worst film of the genre from the list. Ill start it off with my take:

Best: Poltergeist

Favorites: Poltergeist, The Shining, Hell Night, Bones, & Thirteen Ghost

Worst: Boogeyman, Dark Water, & The Grudge

Thoughts? Got Em!!

The Shining, The Others, The Changeling (with George C. Scott), and the 1963 version of The Haunting are all wonderful.

A lesser known one that's well worth checking out is The Woman In Black. It's a 1993 BBC production that's slower in pace but heavy on atmosphere. Great story and a couple of real jump-out-of-your-seat moments.

Scariest= The Amityville Horror (1979), this is what I went with

The Shining was about a hotel, not a house.

Therefore I'd have to say Amytiville Horror.

Neither was 1408 but I still missed that one! Thats also why I said "type" of film meaning Haunted house, hotel etc....whatever fits so the Shining counts! Got Em!!

Best haunted hotel movie is the shining.

and Czar... so people quit complaining that this and that movie werent on the list.... just start making an "Other" option... no?
