Sylvania clear BD data

I have a sylvania blu-ray player that is having issues with lionsgate blu-rays. when i put in the disc i get a black screen with the lionsgate logo and the option to resume. the loading icon is still going on and it won't let me choose whether i want to resume. I looked around the internet and it was suggested I clear the BD data so it wouldn't ask to resume? How do i do that? thank you.
