Absolutely can, try to get either 12, 14 or 16 AWG speaker wire from Monoprice. They have the best prices around......

just wondering, i can see that the speakers have your regular speaker terminals,

but was wondering how it connects to the receiver,

the receivers back panel looks like this,

and im wondering if it has speaker terminals for connectivity,

if it DOES, then as fos mentioned, your good to go.

just found out, it needs special terminals,

does the back look like this?

if so, we'd have to reconsider our options.

the speaker terminals are found on the far left side, showing 'special' cables for connectivity, voiding us from using 'regular' speaker wires.

I have these connectors spare if you want some. I cut them off my sony speakers and attached the speakers to my sony a/v receiver.

Welcome to the downside of proprietary Home Theater in a Box.

Not sure how the connector works, but if they clip together, you may be able to pry them apart and replace the wire with upgrade wiring.

sorry fos, didnt mean to offend you.

in theory, its still a solid answer in my book.

regarding tearin it apart and stuff, id declin on doing so, never knowing which terminal is the proper one, possibility of a short et al, are a few disadvantages.

all in all, i bet is moot considering he's (the OP) has done his homework.
