Default UFC: The Ultimate 100 Greatest Fights - 6 Disc Set

I just picked the set up this morning ($54.99 @ best buy) and took a few pictures. I apologize for the very poor quality, they are from my cell phone.

Side by side with a regular BD, it is the same height.

You can flip through the discs like a book.

There is a little booklet attached to the inside cover that lists what fights are on each disc. There are a few pages of pictures as well.

The back of the set had one of those peel-off pages like digibooks have. This is what it looks like after removing that page. Looks a lot nicer in person.

I haven't popped it in yet but I figure the pictures are worth sharing. I know how crazy some people get about packaging and stuff. I am going to start going through it this afternoon

"To preserve the historic integrity", some of the older fights are presented in 4:3 - warning came up

watched the first 6 fights. the newer fights look great, comparable to the other UFC BD releases. the older fights look decent, but i wouldnt have guessed it was blu ray if i didn't know.

it seems that if the fight had some sort of promo/intro on the original event it is included here, but for the fights that didn't have an intro, there is nothing. they just show the tale of the tape and start the fight.

overall it seems like a nice package and is well worth the cost, but i was hoping the older fights would look a little bit better.

got mine today as well. Very impressed with the overall value of this set. 100 fights in full, most with pre fight interviews and what not; all for 55 bucks is insane!

I like the packaging a lot, very sturdy and well made as well as easy to navigate to find out what fights are where. I assumed the older fights would be black barred and I was right. Granted they don't stunning, but I do think this is the best they have look period. Unless someone has a 1080p VHS of the first few UFC's that I don' know about. The more recent fights are definately great quality video. All in all this was an amazing purchase for any fight fan.

Picked this up yesterday as well. At $55 (when UFC.com has it listed for $120 ), it seemed like a no-brainer.

Haven't watched it yet, but I've heard that none of Frank Shamrock's fights were included (incl. his legendary match with Tito ), and none of Tito winning at all (i.e. Tito v. Wanderlei). That's a shame, b/c those were some true classics.

Dana, if you're listening, bury the hatchet already and recognize 2 of the UFC's greatest champions ever!!

have you seen any of the other UFC BD releases? ultimate comebacks or the best of 2008? the quality of most fights in this set is comparable to those.

i havent seen a dvd of any ufc event so i can't compare... but it is a huge upgrade vs the regular broadcast. in my area UFC ppv's are not offered in HD, so seeing them on BD is wayyyyyy better.

This set is a great deal. It's about $75 on Amazon (when it's released next month) and will be $79.99 next week after the sale at Best Buy ends. At what amounts to a little more than 50 cents a fight I really don't see why anyone would be on the fence about this one.

Yeah... it's basically the cost of 1 pay-per-view. Can't go wrong!

So a little weird question but do you have any idea at which UFC event they start having full HD content on this set? So I can get an idea of how much of the fights on the set can be considerd good quality.

Yeah...but not to the point where any of Tito's victories made the top 100.

BIG difference b/n Ken and Frank Shamrock.

And the 2 Tito fights are both losses. None of his wins made the cut...and that is all Dana.
