Default Google Doc Spreadsheet of World Wide Blu-ray SteelBooks

Here is a link to my Google Doc spreadsheet. I'll try to keep it up to date.

Google Doc Spreadsheet of World Wide HDM SteelBooks

Please feel free to copy and edit for your own purpose. I would appreciate constructive feedback on how you would want this improved.

There is currently a bug with how released titles are being counted. It works if I plug in today's date, but not when I use TODAY() function. If there are any Excel gurus out there, please let me know.

Crashkelly just emailed me his microsoft excell spreadsheet and it's quite nice!
You guy finished pretty much at the same time.
Nice work xradman. that's sweet I'll be able to track my collection on 2 places now.
But I actually have no idea which date I received the Steels though.

Thanks,
Gui.

Thanks for the compliment tiger.

I noticed that about his spreadsheet is that he has tracked all his receive dates as well. I am will to admit that he has us beat on the OCD front

If you copy the spreadsheet and then fill in the days, it will indicate on the owned section up top how many you have.

Nice job xradman.

I would take the country out of the Title since you have a column for Country already. I would probably also take out the Movie release year or the Exclusive stuff and put that in the 2nd and 3rd columns, and move the country to the 4th. That's just me though, it looks pretty good the way it is.

As for your formula error for release count, try this:
=COUNTIF(D10: D2102,"<="&TODAY())

I had to add a space between D10: and D2102 or else a smiley face would show. Kill the space and it should work.

That should give you the same result without having to enter the date into the formula to get it to work every time.

That did the trick. Thank you very much.

Do you have a UPC or release date for this? PS3 games are a pain to track fro this sort of information.

Your welcome. I like the way you laid out the spreadsheet also. Personally, I just use DVD Profiler to keep up with my collection. I created a SteelBook tag, and I can filter my collection to just show my steelbook collection. I can then filter it several other ways including country of release, type of media, actor, director, etc. Upcoming releases don't always pop up before they come out though, so I'll either choose a similar release as a filler, add it manually to my database, or simply wait it out. It also helps me keep track of my wishlist, my orders, what I've watched, how much I've spent, and I put notes in some of them to let me know which ones I have extras of or other information (such as exclusive info). I can also rearrange the collection to view it in ascending or descending order by title, release date, purchase date, and a few others that I can't think of right now. I think also that I can export data to a spreadsheet, but I haven't tried that yet. If I wanted to know what the current count was for blu-ray steelbooks worldwide, all I'd have to do is filter it with the steelbook tag, then filter only blus, and then view everything (my collection, my orders, and my wishlist) together. This would give me a total count. I can't say for certain though that EVERY blu-ray steelbook is in DVD Profiler 'cos I haven't looked for them all in there. I don't think it would take much for me to check the few that I don't have on my wishlist, and submit them to the database if needed.

If I didn't have DVD Profiler, I'd definitely "borrow" your spreadsheet.

I also use DVD Profiler. I think every SteelBook I have is in the database. I made the spreadsheet when DVDSpot went away and I needed a better online way to track my purchases. In my personal Google spreadsheet, I keep track of all by Blu-ray/HD DVD purchases (1,240), ordered items (57), and extra SteelBooks (145).

from the list,
its not a steelbook

Are you serious about Sweeney Todd?
Both of my copy have the first UPC.

This was already hard enough to find.
Are you sure about this jojo?

Thank you tiger, I am breathing again

Yes, please confirm this jojo, thanks.

This does bring up the point of "what is different" again.

Upcoming Gladiator release from play.com will have art cards and the release from amazon.co.uk most likely will not. This equates directly with the FNAC Exlusives and their booklets and the amazon.fr releases that are just the steelbook.

Where do we draw the line?

Cheers
