Default 300 US Blu-ray edition plays on UK hardware

Ok, not sure whether this has already been stated, apologies if it has, but I thought that people would like to know that 300 (Blu-ray) plays perfectly on the European (UK) PS3.

You'll find that with Warner Brothers Blu-Ray releases, they are not region coded so you can play them.

Default I'm from Region B, should I order 300?

I have a PAL Euro PS3 and I've heard that 300 is region free. Can anyone confirm this with absolute certainty? I want to order it from the USA but I'm scared to death that it will arrive and not work in my PS3.

Heh, I just posted a thread that is almost the same

The prices here in europe are just twice the ones in the US... I hope it is, if yes, I would instantly order it...

please let me know if you would find out, I will do the same if I do (I already emailed to warner customer care)

have fun

Thumbs up

I am from Scotland and have a Region B UK PS3 (PAL), I bought this movie and it plays fine.

I bought 300 from http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/default.php, works great and arrived in 4 days and in prefect condition. Movietyme has a list of all USA movies that play on UK PS3. Worth having a look.

This is my first reply, as I am a newbie. Big hello to fellow members.

So your copy is definitely a US copy? And it works in the UK PAL PS3? Sorry, but I really want to be absolutely sure I'm not going to waste my money...

Will this apply to the Turtles movie as well? I'm thinking of ordering it from the US for my PAL UK PS3...

Movietyme is a USA company that ships to UK, I have bought many USA blu-ray disc from them. They have a list that shows all so called region A discs that work on the UK PS3. I have had my copy of 300 for over a week now.
Check out there web site: www.movietyme.com

There is also a web site by a guy in the UK, it clearly has a will it play section. Well worth checking it out, allaboutbluray.co.uk
