I certainly love movies in space, with aliens and loads of destruction and yet Moonfall did everything wrong in my opinion.

Both were awful, but if you could trick yourself into accepting the premise then Moonfall was at least enjoyable.
2012: Stupid and boring.
Moonfall: Stupid but fun.

2012 was the best need to rewatch Moonfall because it was so dark on our cinema screen to see what was going on will look far better on my big 65-inch sony HDR tv or OLED I bet.

Moonfall, definitely. They're both enormously dumb but at least one them didn't make me feel miserable while watching it.
