Thumbs up

No surprise an Ironman 2 steel is in the works. I really like the original Ironman movie and steel. It was one of the first steelbooks I started collecting.

Totally wrong, it was an awesome movie full of action and laughs. The only better movie out so far would have to be the first installment of Twilight .......

What's your definition of a good movie?

Twilight?
Never Been Kissed?
Mean Girls?

Iron Man is the perfect guy movie.
G.I.Joe sucked, Iron Man didn't!

Hey, what's wrong with Never Been Kissed? I thought Drew and David were great in it. It's not one of my fav's, but it has some re-watchability, to me anyway. There aren't too many chick flicks that I can stomach watching more than once, but this one isn't so bad. I will watch them once out of curiosity or just to please the misses, but this one has some pretty funny parts in it. "I'm not Josie Grossie anymore!"

Mean Girls was alright. My daughter used to love this one, so I got tortured with it alot of times. It's kind of grown on me I guess.

Twilight, I am with you completely on that one.

Oh, and IRON MAN ROCKS!

IRON MAN was okay, but it was far from perfect. I would even say it is far from the perfect guy movie.

I think it was a cool movie for effects and explosions. The first hour started off really good, but then the latter half became very simplistic and predictable.

SPIDER-MAN 2, X-MEN, and SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE were all better films for that genre.

In fact, everyone was talking about IRON MAN until THE DARK KNIGHT came out later that summer and no one was talking about IRON MAN anymore. I think THE DARK KNIGHT elevated the genre somewhat to tell people that comic book heroes can be more than just an action flick. It can be insightful as well.

I remember later that summer, Robert Downy Jr. was downplaying (and bad mouthing) THE DARK KNIGHT because it kicked IRON MAN's ass at the box office. I never really cared much for his films.

I thought WATCHMEN was fantastic as well. It was yet another level up, but I think it was too dense of a story for most people to follow, if you haven't read the books. Also, I think it was mis-marketed as an action flick.

As for perfect guy movies, I would rank FIGHT CLUB, DIE HARD, ROBOCOP, THE UNTOUCHABLES, THE MATRIX, THE ROCK, and THE TERMINATOR (1) as better guy movies than IRON MAN.

How about a bit of Brokeback Mountain for a perfect guy movie?

Luckily for Canadians, you guys haven't been blessed with a DVD sized Blu-Ray SteelBook Brana already commented in that Futureshop will only release BD sized SteelBooks. So I assume you are safe Crash
