I did a quick google search and the consensus is that it may have been cancelled, but no one seems to know for sure. Some of the speculation was that this was not a good "Disney" movie. It would be nice if they could release it under a different banner.

I've heard it was officially cancelled, but again, nobody's giving reasons--
Given all the "martyr" tantrums when Chris Sanders was thrown off of "Bolt", it's likely they don't have any obligation to tell us, either, but with the studio ramping up again, the product did look a little too thin.

Still, even JimHillMedia.com hasn't heard of it, and if any site would be spreading in-house conspiracy theories about it, he would...

It was either cancelled or delayed to make room for the new pooh bear movie and another movie I forgot.

Cheapquel crap isn't done in house. No way a farmed out Pooh movie would cause Elves to be delayed. I've heard it was scuttled, too, but for creative reasons.

Not sure the reason for the cancel or delay. But in this article they talk about how Pooh is the next movie they are working on after Princess and the Frog and after Pooh is the Snow Queen.

I would be shocked if Disney's in-house animators were assigned to a low budget Winnie the Pooh sequel. No, it's more likely the Pooh film is being released and produced by Disney, but animated off site, like the previous cheapquels.

Not to go off topic or anything and you're opinion is you're own but why the hate for Pooh? I mean yes their are some bad Pooh movies but I enjoyed the old TV series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the Tigger movie was good or at least when I last saw it which was a few years ago. Also some other's were good while some were awful but the new movie is supposed to be going back to Pooh's roots and hand drawn and all that.

As I understand, the ToonStudio that did the cheap videos and Saturday-morning versions during the Eisner era is not in on this one, and this's the Lasseter studio's "old-school" reimagining to bring fully-animated Pooh back for the Post-Tiana era. (Nothing like a franchise, just in case.)
Just heard about it myself, but they're not promoting it like "Pooh's Heffalump Movie"...Which hopefully means we'll get Eeyore back.

I don't hate Pooh. The first two Winnie the Pooh shorts are marvelous, and I loved the third short when I was kid (not so impressed by that short now, but I digress)

No, my friend, I hate when Disney puts their brand name on bad animation and bad movies -- The Tigger Movie, The Piglet Movie, etc. All the direct to video cheapquels. This hurts the Disney brand name and therefore hurts all of hand-drawn animation.
