Band of Brothers UK: 5 or 6 discs?

it has been confirmed to my by play.com that band of brothers from play.com/uk
is only coming with 5 disks

however hmv has it for the same price but with the 6 disks
anyone know what is going on with the play.com release???

no not confirmed that 6 from hmv but is does say 6 disks in the description of

but it seems the extras the us is getting are the same on the uk box

they might have squeezed it all in

the play.com version is coming with special pictures it seems altogether
a different product why order this version when hmv states 6blu

theyll both be exactly the same, theres no way the UK are getting 2 different versions

then why does it say on hmv web site 6blu" plus perhaps play.com has done
a deal with the suppliers i haven't seen any other online retailer offering the
special pictures with the new release

theyve done the special pictures with loads of their blu rays (and dvds!), all they do is add it to the packaging and reseal them.

my guess is theyre saying its 5 discs (with the actual episodes on) then the 6th disc is just extras so the dont mention it??

i guess we'll see soon enough!

u got to admit there seems to be a difference between the play release and the amazon release perhaps play.com has got it wrong maybe there is 6 disks
maybe hmv is wrong and is only going with the information printed on the blu-ray case either way i would like to know

i think hmv is going with whats on the case...because i remeber it saying on plaay.com 6 discs at one point

to be honest im just waiting till its released in the uk and us and then i will compare it and work out which one i will get

The title sounds too alarming to me. Nothing is confirmed yet and therefor I think there is no need for "warnings". The information on various webshops is far from reliable. Just send play.com (and amazon.co.uk) an e-mail with your question, before running around screaming. I think they might confirm the specs. There will only be one version at this moment (except you get some free extra pictures when you are buyin at play).

ok fare enough but play.com did tell me over the phone that its coming with 5 discs just wondering if there is going to be a quality issue if it is confirmed 5 discs

ok i have removed the warning part from my header and will call play.com again
i have already sent a e-mail to hmv today requesting specs for the blu-ray release of bob

Well, 5 is better than the "number of discs: 1" at amazon.co.uk.

I would check out dvd-basen.dk and/or zavvi.co.uk. The last link is a shop, which I recommend for having reliable information. The have front and backcoverscans of many packages, and the update the information as soon as a title arrives.

yes amazon.co.uk site is truly shocking and is in need of a major overhaul

It's just one of plays many mistakes when it comes to blu's.

The only way we'd get 2 versions was a store exclusive.. which I havent heard about.

well i have had no reply from hmv e-mail. i called them they said as they don't have it in stock yet there is no way to be sure but the guy from hmv did state
to me that it was coming with 6 discs according to what his system says.

so no further ahead in finding out the truth??

i think it possibly is 6 discs but some retailers are really only counting the main
feature on the 5 discs and not mentioning the bonus discs so will have to wait
and see.

hopefully someone can get a straight answer from one of these E-tailors.
