i seen rob zombies halloween thurs night which i thought was really good. i seen mgm which we get but then i seen dimension where i thought hddvd has. anybody know which studio has the new halloween?

If movies are released on Blu-ray based on their production company, this is what iMDB has to say:

* Dimension Films
* Nightfall Productions
* Spectacle Entertainment Group
* Trancas International Films

Its distributors listed as Dimension Films and The Weinstein Company for all media in the US.

If Weinstein are still exclusive to the oposition, then it'l be HD DVD only in the US, but Blu-ray only in the UK! This'l be due to a Buena Vista release, you can count on it!

Are you sure it's Weinstein?... Yahoo movies list it as MGM as the distributer...

EDIT: It appears that Weinstein has the home movie rights, and MGM the theatre rights, so I guess we'll have to wait for the UK version...

From my understanding, Weinstein has the distribution rights. Word on the street (i.e. the insider thread) is Weinstein will be neutral by year's end. Saw the movie today & thought it was really good. Being a fan of the original & Rob Zombie's previous 2 movies, I wasn't disappointed.
