Default District 9 startup menu

When the movie is starting up an option comes up where you can choose between human and prawn. Is there a difference???

Yup. Just different menu designs. Movie plays the same whichever menu you pick.

When loading the movie and getting the previews, i don't get to see Zombieland in the previews! After Boondock Saints 2, it goes right away to the main menu where you choose between human or alien! Is this normal ?

I can see the Zombieland trailer preview in the special features but not in the loading of movie!

I personally hate the startup menu for District 9.
I think it would of made sense if there was a Theatrical and Director's Cut, but there isn't. Just different menu designs...what a waste of a menu...

At first I thought the menu was showing two options: Unrated and Rated but I guessed wrong.

That's odd!

They could've put another trailer after Boodock Saints 2 instead of us going to the menu to view it!

Lots of Blu-rays will have a few trailers before the menu, and will then have a wider selection (or a different selection entirely!) when going through the special features. That's what annoys me, when you can't access a trailer through special features and you must instead eject and reinsert the disc.

I think it should be the reverse.. all trailers should be under special features. I hate when i just want to watch the movie and have to skip past 2-3 trailers

Yeah I noticed that too. In Night at the Museum 2 they have a Avatar trailer before going to the menu but when you go to the special features>trailers its not there
