By the sounds of it, us Kiwi's may miss on that treat, but U.K, Germany and Australia receive the movie on the 6th of May.

Saw a 5 minute teaser at IMAX last night before Oz The Great and Powerful

I dont know what to make of it it seems "too serious" instead of being a light adventure
