i think the Sony one would give you the least issues plus the charging deck is pretty cool

the logitech by far
thats the one i have
i went from the sony blu tooth 'official headset' to the logitech

the sony sucks, it feels like razors are in your ear

the only thing i lack is to see how muchb battery i have on screen, but the logitech has an indicator that blonks red when its dying.

comfort = the most important thing
logitech wins
quality = another important issue.....they both sound the exact same to another person but i like logitech as the headset is 'over the ear' and not 'in the ear'

+1 for the logitech

i charge my logitech with a digital camera usb cable from my pc about once every 2 weeks.

ive got the official sony one, but ive been thinking about switching lately, like don says, the sony one isnt the most comforable, but it does work well with the ps3, i might try a more comfortable one just to see how it compares

i can recommend the logitech as well.

i've never tried the official headset, so i can't compare the two. but, i find the logitech to be very comfortable, and i've never had a problem being heard or hearing other players.

Like some of the others fellas have stated the official Sony set works really well and does the job, BUT it is extremely uncomfortable if used more then an hour or 2 because it doesn't really support itself on your ear...It hangs on it and that is were the added pressure to you ear/skin will irritate then the pain begins...

I have had the Logitech since its release and I love it. I've even paired it with my phone a few times, no issues. I can not speak for the Sony.

Does the logitech have a mute button? I lost my sony one but I really need a mute button so team mates dont have to listen to my conversations in between matches.

Go for the Sony one w/ charging deck!!! it's the only reason I bought socom when it came out. I kept the headset and got rid of that waste of a $20 game.

I had to return the sony one after 40 days, it just wouldn't turn on or would respond to any charge not from computer, ps3 nothing.

I put the Ipod headphone white thing over top it then put the little black rubber on it and that seems to be a soft fit.

My advice if people say one gives better quality in sound and how others hear you take that one.

I'd give it a C/B-

Its a surprise to hear so many people saying the sony one is uncomfortable. Mine bothered me when I first bought it and then I realized I wasn't putting it properly in my ear and after I found the right angle I sometimes forget I have it on. Also when my brother used it he had the same problem I told him to move it around until he found a comfortable spot and now he loves it! Maybe some of you guys have awkward ears
