Valore Needs Receiver Suggestions - Blu-ray Forum

Alright guys I'm looking for some help. The fiance and I finally moved into the new house and I'm looking to invest in a new receiver.

I have a 52in Sony Bravia mounted above my fire place with HDMI rough-in the pretty much goes through the ceiling and to an alternate hidden closet behind the main cough.

This particular closet houses my PS3, TiVO HD Premier ect. Amoungst the vast array of receivers available, what is something that will fit my needs for now in the price range of $400-$700? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy a pretty good receiver for that price range. Make sure your receiver is 7.1 channel receiver, has all HDMI input/output, and processes all the recent HD audio codecs. If the receiver has pre-outs for all the channels, that is a bonus in case you want to upgrade to an external amplifier in the future. Crutchfield may not have the lowest prices, but is a classy joint and will help you with any problems.

Denon makes excellent receivers and I recommend them:
