I remember seeing this movie on the Disney Channel and Pay-Per-View in 1994/1995. IMDB 6/10. It has great actors like John Cleese, and Cary Elves.

The DVD goes for $30-$40!

It looks like people like it, a cult classic even.

I saw it in the theater and rewatched it after the latest version. It's a decent adventure flick, obviously more grounded in reality with no talking, singing animals on display. Also features Lena Headey, pre-Game of Thrones, as the love interest!

I would like to see this get a DMC release later this year for the 25th anniversary.

I haven't watched this one since VHS. I'm sure it'll pop up on the DMC at some point, along with other "live action" releases such as 101&102 Dalmations. They all exist in HD on itunes already. DMC will most definitely release some bare-bones exclusives.
