Default What do you do with your old DVD's

With your old DVD's. What do you with them. Did you sell them, trade them, keep them? I have about 200+ dvd's but really don't want to get rid of the ones that are not on BD yet.

I still use them. I used to re-buy films I already own on DVD to get its BD counterpart. Now I only do that if the movie has a higher re watch value.

I have given close to 100 to A young man at work that is not as well off as I am . Real good kid too.

I have only given him the ones I have replaced with Blu's , Still have about 25 DVD's left !

Good thing to do on your part.

I have given a few of my DVDs to one of my hard working employee. Sometimes I even offered it for the employee of the month.

I still have most of my DVDs and still watch them. While they don't look as good as Blu-ray, they don't looks so bad upscaled, either. If I decide to double dip and buy its BD counterpart, then I sell the DVD version. Frankly, it'll be a long time before many classics come to the Blu-ray format, so I'm not in any rush to get rid of some of my favorite movies, just because they're on an older format.

I watch DVD's often and enjoy them. Too much content that I don't like enough to upgrade or that isn't out yet.

I still have most of my standard DVDs. Will never get rid of all of them because I'm a fan of alot of crap / odd stuff that will never be released on Blu. I still have alot of VHS that have yet be released on DVD. I do plan on selling some DVDs soon, that I've upgraded to Blu.

You can hang them on the fence. The reflections will repel birds from your garden.

I'm planning on either giving them to the church for a rummage sale or to a close friend. It's hard to part with them though lol I spent a lot of $ on them.

I keep all of them until I get a blu version. Once I get the blu version, I offer them up to my in-laws first. If they do not want them, I usually give them to Goodwill. I think selling them would be more hassle than it is worth. I had decent success selling slipcovers but there was a lot of work and time involved.

BTW, I have about 25-30 DVD's waiting for my in-laws to come around Easter.

I give them to friends, the used dvd/cd places around me are only giving maybe up to $2 for a dvd so its not worth the effort IMO.

I think I had about 300-350 movies on DVD, made about $900-1200 off the lot in 2008, as far as I can tell I unloaded them just in time.
