To me, cartoons look the same on bluray as they do in dvd; i just want this for my collection

What was wrong with The Simpsons Movie? I thought it looked spectacular on Blu-ray.

The picture was sharper and the colors were more vibrant on the Blu-Ray.

This is on my wish list, but it's one that I have doubts about making to Blu soon. I bought the widescreen "special edition" DVD brand new in shrink-wrap a few weeks ago off eBay for under $10 shipped.

i agree that animated movies that are very dated now are hard to clean up to total blu-ray perfection. however, with the technology we have today i would say that it is not impossible that they could make this movie look good. true there might still be some film grain because we have to remember this movie is 14 years old now, however, there are animated films that are older than that are being restored to look really good so I am sure they will do their best to make this look the best it can. Only time will tell I guess.

i would love to own this, its semi-popular so hopefully it'll get put on blu-ray sometime within the next couple of years...

and i dont know if i agree with cartoons looking the same on dvd as blu-ray, maybe on smaller televisions but definitely not when your t.v. gets to be 40"+

Indeed Simpsons movie was great on HD!

I adore BABDA, one of my fave animated movies since i saw it 4 times in theaters when i was a teen should look good on HD.

Would definitely be interested in this film on Blu-ray as well. I remember seeing it in the theatre in late '96 & laughing my head off. Hilarious film that, in some ways, was just as funny (if not funnier) than the TV show it was based on.

Would also like to see the original unedited 1990's B & B TV show released on Blu-ray - the DVD sets that came out years ago edited out the videos they made fun of onto a separate disc.....though they were better than nothing
